Older Children

Kindergarteners will listen to a story entitled ‘Summer Days’. They will look at the summer landscapes, talk what are their emotions about them, and match the right elements of nature to them. They will also develop agility and physical fitness by performing a set of gymnastic exercises.

Kindergarteners will listen to the sounds of summer – they will recognize and describe them. They will try to play musical instruments with the sounds that they associate with summer. They will also make 'Holiday memories' worksheets and learn the second part of ‘Back to School’ song.

Kindergarteners will discuss what ‘souvenirs’ are. They will try to recognize some souvenirs by touch and group them by their origins and match a description of the souvenirs to their owners. In teams, they will group the souvenirs and count the number of elements in each group.

Kindergarteners will take a look at postcards – they will think about why we send them and how to do this. They will practice classification, counting, comparing skills and reading.

Kindergarteners will think about what a memory is and talk about their memories from their summer holidays. They will create an artwork entitled ‘A train full of memories’ and start to learn ‘Back to School’ song.

Kindergarteners will make an artwork called "By the sea" or "In the mountains". By listening to the song and completing the "Important Emergency Numbers" worksheet they will memorize emergency telephone numbers. They will develop their agility and physical fitness while doing a set of keep fit exercises, as well as consolidate the safe vacation rules learned throughout the week.

Kindergarteners by listening to a poem "Traffic lights" will remember the rules of crossing the road safely, and by watching "What to do if we get lost??" they will consolidate the rules of conduct in case of getting lost. They will listen to a story entitled "Don't talk to strangers", and complete "Lead the mother to the child" worksheet.

Kindergarteners will learn about the rules of staying safe in the forest. They will practice orientation in the scheme of their own body, in space, as well as on a piece of paper by completing a worksheet called "Stick it in the right place". They will also learn the second part of 'I love Summertime' song.

Kindergarteners will learn the rules of staying safe in the mountains and pack a backpack which can come in handy on a mountain trip. They will learn about animals that can be found in the mountains and practice logical thinking by constructing cup mountains according to a pattern.

Kindergarteners will find a bottle thrown from the sea which contains rules of staying safe and playing by the water. They will practice the tongue twister 'Sea', as well as learn the first part of 'I love Summertimer' song.
